We're so excited to announce the launch of a brand new monthly project in partnership with @younggreenshootco - #thepropsquad
Every month we will be providing fresh plant snips along with a guide to help propagation., offering different propagation methods over time.
So for our first month it had to be a Tradescantia which is the variety of plants that first got me into plant collecting. There are over 100 different varieties, a huge range of colours and patterns along with the fact that these plants are incredibly quick growing and easy to propagate.
This cultivar's intense colour and pleasing growth pattern have made it a really popular plant choice and we hope all of you who join us this month in propagating will really enjoy watching these roots grow.
We want to get lots of people involved in sharing and talking about propagation so please pop us a comment if you have a Tradescantia Nanouk in your collection, any comments or advice you can offer and of course any pictures of your beautiful Nanouks.
We wanted December's plant to be something with a 'Christmas' feel and these Fittonias with their red and green patterned leaves, fit perfectly.
For propagation this month we've provided everyone who wants to get involved, a small glass bottle, in which to root their little plant.
We want to get everyone talking and sharing about propagation so tell us if you have a Fittonia in your collection and what your care and propagation tips would be?
We'd love to see pictures of yours.

Our January offer for this months #thepropsquad project is Peperomia Hope. This plant has always been attractive to me with the perfectly round leaves and trailing nature.
I'm going to be water propagating mine and would love to hear your hints and tips for propagation and caring for this beauty. Show us your Peperomia Hope!
Plantlets with labels and care guides are available from @botany.boutique
Our February #propsquad project with @younggreenshootco for this month we're offering a beautifully variegated Epipremnum Glacier. We absolutely love any variegated plants and have always thought the variegated Epipremnums are some of the most stunning. The Glacier variety shows green and white variegation along with green speckled patches which look stunning when grown into a mature trailing plant.
If you choose to join us with this prop squad project this month you'll receive a single leaf snipping with a hand written label and care guide. We would love to hear what you all think of this months plant and do share your plants and propagation progress with us.
