We are a small independent retail business in East Yorkshire who are passionate about plants, plant care and our environment. All of our products are recommended by our team and our plant care products have been sourced from ethical, environmentally friendly suppliers.
Handmade in hornsea
We are big advocates of supporting local artisans based in Hornsea and the surrounding villages, as well as recognising the talents of our own team hence the reason we have an in-house 'Handmade in Hornsea (HiH)' range which celebrates:
The fabulous weaving skills of Emma who handcrafts all of our our HiH baskets;
The magical skills of Elaine displayed through the wide range of macramé hanger designs on sale in the shop;
The vintage terrariums making use of vintage glass and crockery, which is a passion of Sher's;
The teeny tiny moss jars and moss mini terrariums created by Dave who has the utmost patience!
Workshops in houseplant care, macramé and terrarium building are also available - details kept updated on our website and social media accounts.

Our Plant Community is full of extremely talented people who have a common love of all things plant related. We have been lucky enough to introduce 'local makers' at the shop - Julia at Coco Clementine Studio makes fabulous plant toppers, plant accessories and bespoke herb labels; Aga at My Hygge Things is a crochet artist who makes beautiful baskets, wall hangers and hanging baskets to display your plants in; Ollie at United Steel Fabrications makes bespoke leaf pattern metal discs to decorate both inside and outside your home or workplace; Hayley (@ThePaintersDaughter) brightens up our shop with gorgeous plant patterned textiles (e.g. cushions, aprons, tea towels and eye masks), Andi (The Purple Glass Shed) creates fabulous stained glass plant stakes and leaf hangings by hand - each one is completely unique and Katie (Skew Whiff Design & Illustration) designs bold and beautiful postcards, prints and framed images of houseplants... what else do you need as a plant lover? Pop in to the shop and have a browse at all of their fabulous creations.....

Plant Rescue Boxes
The Plant Community is focused on making a difference to our environment and here at Botany Boutique we are no different. Our business ethos is to promote environmentally friendly products and avoid contributing to the on-going levels of waste impacting on our planet. So we have joined the 'Plant Rescue' revolution, working with Sarah Gerrard-Jones (@ThePlantRescuer) to offer ' houseplants rescue boxes/bags' of plants that need a lot of TLC instead of being thrown away. The boxes/bags are not available very often (which is due to our dedication to their care!) but when available will be advertised on our website, social media pages as well as by @ThePlantRescuer. So follow our social media pages to keep updated with their availability.
