The soils and substrates they use in their mix have the benefit of centuries of road-testing by Japanese horticulturalists for use in growing delicate and sensitive bonsai. Today, similar mixes are used by some of the best cacti and succulent growers in Japan & Asia.
Their premium cactus and succulent mixes are a carefully balanced blend of Japanese volcanic clays, grist, pumice and a dash of coconut coir that can help you maintain the right moisture levels for your plant's fragile, rot-prone roots.

Made from the husks of coconuts, coir compost is one of the most environmentally-friendly composts you can buy on the market. It improves drainage, air circulation and water retention, helping to create the perfect environment to encourage healthy root growth. The coir fibres are specially graded, washed and buffered, using a waste water recycling facility, giving your plant a neutral, safe, gentle soil to grow in.
In addition, as it needs re-hydrating to use you only need to add water to the amount you actually need so there is very little waste.

A small family run business who take the crushed whelk shells generated at their family's seafood processing factory and recycle them for use in gardens and landscaping.
It is estimated that 5000 tonnes of waste shells are generated in the UK fishing industry every year. Shell on Earth not only reduce their own waste output from their factory, but also help to support a circular economy by using 100% of the whelks they process.
In addition the crushed whelk shells look fabulous in our terrariums, as a soil covering and help to prevent slugs eating the plants outside too!

Coir Products.co.uk pride themselves in becoming one of the first companies in the UK and Northern Ireland to offer such a wide and innovative range of coir-based products under one platform. The coir-based products they supply are 100% biodegradable and natural, which means, these products have minimum harm on the environment.
Coir is a natural fibre that is 100% biodegradable. It is extracted from the husk of the coconut, and is a fibrous material that is found between the hard-inner shell of the coconut and the outer coating of it.
These coir plant poles are a growing aid and are ideal for growing creepers, especially those that require a lot of moisture. Coir poles are eco-friendly, and retain moisture for a long time once the plant has been watered. The coir plant poles are made by closely wrapping coir twine or wooden rods. As these are absorbent, the creeper grows tiny roots that grab hold of the pole itself and the coir twine.
